She grew up in Philly and has lived and worked in New York City and Los Angeles. She currently resides in Ventura County where she just finished her first feature length screenplay. Born in South Africa and raised in a diplomatic family, Carla Gericke has lived and traveled all over the world. She's currently enrolled in the MFA program at The City College of New York, where she was the recipient of the Stark Award for Outstanding Short Fiction. Her stories have appeared in Inkwell, Promethean, Pindeldyboz and elsewhere. Carla lives with her husband and three cacti in an old loft in Chinatown, where she's working on her first novel. Carla's cell is more camera, less phone.
