What's New
flashquake publisher and editor Debi Orton was recently interviewed by the BBC for the Worldservice radio program "The Word." The topic was writing on the Internet in general, and flash literature in particular. As a result (we surmise) of this interview, flashquake received a record number of submissions for any two-month reading period thus far: 419 — and that doesn't count the hundred or so we had to reject outright because they did not conform to our guidelines.
Editor Sean 'Punster' McKlusky and his lovely wife are now the proud parents of Cody, a rescued kitten. Sean says, "The organization that found him did a great job of returning him to health but he just wasn't gaining weight. We recently discovered that he had a tapeworm. We had that taken care of and he has now started to gain weight at a nice and healthy rate. He and I both share a birth date in May. Cody turned one and I turned forty two." Congratulations to Sean and Cody!
