A poem from current contributor Bruce Boston, "The Cathedral of Lost Faces", has been nominated for the Science Fiction Poetry Association (SFPA) 2006 Rhysling Award. Every year since 1978, the members of SFPA have given the Rhysling Awards to poems in short and long categories (1-49 lines; and 50 lines and up, respectively). The awards are considered to be the equivalent for speculative poetry of the Nebula Awards for speculative fiction, and winners have most years been reprinted in the Nebula Awards showcases.
Pamelyn Casto is taking the summer off from teaching her popular classes. She'll be back in the fall, though, with a Haibun class and an Advanced Flash Fiction class.
