window-smooth cliffs
glitter greyly,
their toes touching
window-clear water,
shallow over flat sand
vitreous dreaming,
the world thinks it's glass
only the sun
outside the box
white watcher
stare too intense to meet
bleaching blue out of the heavy sky
coalescent storm coming
when it breaks
the glass
stasis will shatter
ruffle to breakers the zen-serene sea
the world dreams me
into the landscape
my feet fused to the sand
opacity seascuffed
light piercing through
no escape from this box
a glass girl can't run
the tempest is coming
to blackout the sun
daydream darkening
pane-calmness lost
shaken to waking
or splintered to dust
