A woman holds a dove to her lips in this watercolor which employs washes of pastel colors outlined in black almost like the leading in a stained glass window. The use of wash gives the color a luminosity that is also evocative of stained glass. The artist notes that it was inspired in part by Joni Mitchell's song, "Don't Interrupt the Sorrow."
