"I was born in a family of mixed cultural heritage. Also, spending my childhood at places as diverse as South Asia and Europe, I was able to appreciate how people with differences in their opinions and ideologies can create uniquely beautiful cultures, yet remain tied with the basic values of humanity. In my paintings too I try to portray the vivid colors of the several lively cultures I had been so fortunate to live in."

"My work focuses primarily on the transformation of personal spaces into surreal landscapes of life. Photography is my poetry in visual form. The spaces, objects, and people I photograph are familiar, but I use photography to make them unfamiliar, to see my life from a new perspective. It isn't surprising, then, that the majority of my ideas are born out of memories and spaces from my childhood, from contact with the loved ones in my life, or from my surrounding environment. I'm not so much documenting what I see, but how I see it and how I feel about it."

  • Suzanne Cheryl Gardner
"The 'sacred feminine' is key to the transformation of our culture. These images spiritually remind us of the importance of a life balanced with both masculine and feminine energy. Creating these images is my goal towards encouraging others to remember we can co-create a peace-filled world."
