Our Featured Artist: Noel Beebe
I like to work with images or themes that twist the meaning of what a
viewer sees. I use music, lyrics, song
titles, word phrases or sometimes a part of a quote as inspiration for a
lot of the work that I do. I also want to
find a theme again that I can represent with a series of images. A lot
of what I do is a direct result of what
I'm thinking about at the time. I feel that an artist can be what ever
he or she wants to be (a killer, a rapist, a homosexual, a drunk or an angel)... as long as it is on paper. The
hard part is finding the nerve to
let people see it. The way I see art, it starts as a thought and
because it is seen, ends by starting a
thought.
