  "In the Real Musicians series I have made an effort to infuse the visage of the individual artist with a particular sense of movement and expression that comes from the combination of sounds and rhythm into visual imagery. This expressionist use of color and markmaking within the bounds of representationism has allowed me great freedom in my attempts to transfer a total visual and auditory expeience into a visual metaphor.
