"I try my best to create atmosphere in my paintings. This is the measure of success in my opinion. I have miles to go yet, of course. The texture and depth I can achieve with oil paints has given me the ability to convey what I like best in painting. The use of watercolour and acrylic media in my early efforts, helped me to evolve. Subject matter for me is a compilation from figurative studies, to outdoor still life, anything with dramatic lighting.
I've attempted to capture the genius strokes of artists like John Singer Sargent and Claude Monet. Not an easy task.

Most of my work focuses on problems in Iraq, Honduras, etc. These dolls provide a cheerful departure. Rescued from a barn in rural North Carolina, they now inspire various escapist projects. They are anonymous and unfamiliar, yet evoke a sense of nostalgia and lend themselves to obvious humor.

I enjoy working with wood, metal, glass and ceramic tiles. I relish transforming these seemingly static substances into dynamic works that resonate with delicacy, softness and pliancy. My works range from the abstract to the designative, and my inspiration is derived from a wide range of sources, including internal issues and meditations, technology, and the natural environment.

I am a Swedish artist who revels in portraying the intricate detail in time-weathered faces. My medium is drawing. After some time spent painting, I always come back to that; my pen gives me a lot of joy. I find a lot of possibilities in gray tones, especially when I draw people, portraits. I often draw old people for example, an old farmer, an old lady. And there is a lot to work with in the wrinkles and shadows. Something I really like. And I do it with passion.
