| FICTION Cynthia Wright Swaine has participated in flash fiction workshops with Sarah Freligh of BOA Editions in Rochester, and has taken writing workshops led by Nancy Willard, Robert Olmstead and Nita Penfold. She is now finding her voice in flash fiction and poetry. As a librarian, she has had articles published in The Virginia Librarian, The Southeastern Librarian, and other professional publications. Recently, Cynthia's pieces appeared in Voices from the Pink Parlor, published by the Fulton Street Gallery Press in Troy, New York.
Maggie Mountford is a woman writer living in Somerset, in the West Country, United Kingdom. Maggie has published poems and short stories in her own country. She shares a home with her husband, Peter, and two crazy cats. She is in permanent mid-life crisis and her writing tends towards the darker side of the human situation, though not exclusively. This is Stephanie Slawek's first publication. She works full-time as a fitness manager and is going to school part-time as a premedical student. She likes to write short stories and poetry. Diane Dees Tobiason is a psychotherapist and writer in Covington, Louisiana. Her essays and short stories have appeared or are forthcoming in many publications, including: The Raven Chronicles, Cenotaph Pocket Edition, Southern Ocean Review, Thema, The Louisiana Review and Tart City. Diane and her husband are the webmasters of www.princesscafe.com, a virtual rock and roll restaurant. Christine A. NONFICTION Marian Wilson is a registered nurse and writer with published work in Potpourri, RN and American Journal of Nursing. POETRY Lynnette Horn writes from her home in a St. Louis suburb, where she lives with her husband and greatest supporter, Al. Nearly a year ago, with a background in journalism and a new degree in communications, she abandoned a lucrative corporate career to follow her lifelong dream to become a creative writer. Since then she's been honing her craft and collecting rejection slips. Carol Borzyskowski is a published poet who lives, works and writes in the sleepy river town of Winona, MN. She has been a part of several readings in the Winona area. She belongs to two (currently) on-line writing groups and strongly believes the only way you grow and hone your craft is by revision and trying out your pieces on other writers. Some of the journals Carol has been published in are, American Poetry Monthly, Midwest Poetry Review, Crones' Nest and Radiance. She has also been published in many on-line journals including Recursive Angel, Melenge, and Conspire. She has taught Poetry Writing at WSU's College for Kids and loved every minute of working and creating with her students. Carol's day job is at the Winona Public Library. Pamela K. Hauck lives on Sand Mountain in Georgia. She has worked for 16 years as a drug and alcohol counselor. She is fluent in ASL and has taught sign language classes. Pam is active in online writing groups. PLAYS Patricia Richards is a retired school teacher, writer and storyteller, with credits in Catholic Digest, Family, Doorways, The Upper Room, Yesterday's Magazette, New England Writers' Network, Byline, Beliefnet, and New Century Voices. Weaving is her hobby. Eleanor Brook has a Master of Arts degree in Theatre/Education and studied playwrighting at South Coast Repertory's Professional Conservatory. Her Work has won numerous prizes and has been staged and produced on both coasts. She is an associate member of the Dramatists Guild, a member of the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights, FirstStage, and a founding member and director of the Orange County Playwrights Alliance in Southern California. Phyllis Nielsen lives with her husband in Portland, Oregon. She is fairly new to writing. She's a member of the FlashPlays workshop. GALLERY Jim Feck is an amateur photographer living in Cambridge, NY with his wife and eight (yes, that's right, eight) cats. Although he has had no formal photographic training, he tries to capture some of life's more obscure and beautiful moments on film. Some of his more noteworthy non-photographic skills include the ability to play the drum part to Aerosmith's "Walk This Way" and the ability to effectively explain hockey's "icing" rule. Roger Paris has been a contributing editor for community-based organization and university newsletters. He is an active participant in writing groups both online and in the suburban Chicago area. He is a strong advocate of "The Arts" in all their incarnations. Roger holds degrees in Art, Art History and Photography. Debi Orton lives on the banks of the Hudson River in Schaghticoke, New York and is a technology manager for a small New York State agency. She has a background in technical writing, web site design and development, web site accessibility and employee relations research, among her many careers. She frequently contributes artwork to websites and publications. |
