| STEPHANIE BENGER has been writing and editing for over a decade but only made the leap into the spooky but exciting world of drama three years ago. Since then six of her one-act and flash plays have been produced. WENDY BROWN writes, teaches and works as an artist and cartoonist on the Pacific coast of British Columbia, Canada. Until she discovered the joy of very short fiction, Wendy always had difficulty finishing anything she wrote. "Flash fiction is the perfect genre for the easily bored," Wendy writes. PAMELYN CASTO hosts the Flash Fiction Workshop, is editor of the Flash Fiction Flash: The Newsletter for Flash Fiction Writers, and team teaches online courses on flash fiction at CoffeeHouse For Writers. Her work has appeared in print and online publications including The Toastmaster, Potpourri, Recursive Angel, Riding the Meridian, and Perihelion. Her work has also appeared in Writer's Digest (a feature-length article co-written with Geoff Fuller--Feb. 2001 issue, on flash fiction writing, and another article is scheduled for the fall 2001 fiction issue). PAUL ALAN FAHEY is a learning disabilities specialist at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California and is also the editor of Mindprints, A Literary Journal, a national magazine for writers and artists with disabilities or for those with an interest in the field. Paul has published in educational journals such as Teaching and Learning, The Professional Educator, Educational Forum, and the CAPED Communique. His fiction has recently appeared online in Mocha Memoirs, The Vestal Review, The Paumanok Review, and Furious Pen. He has published his short stories and poetry in the print publications Potpourri, The Palo Alto Review, The Macguffin, and My Legacy. JACK GOODSTEIN'S criticism and fiction has appeared in College English, Critique, Theatre Journal and The Jewish Digest. Jack's one act plays have been staged in Toronto at the ATHE and in New York at Pulse Ensemble Theatre, Gallery Players of Park Slope, and Genesis Theatre's Late Night Theatre Slam. DAVE LIGNELL lives with his wife Colleen and their three children in Lawrence, Kansas. He is an active member of the Kansas Authors Club and the Coffeehouse4writers.com Flash-Fiction Workshop listserv. He holds a Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Western Michigan University and works as an instructional design manager for Hill's Pet Nutrition, a division of Colgate-Palmolive. CAROLINE MELKONIAN lives with her husband in upstate New York. She recently completed her first drawing class at a local arts center. JEFFERSON MOODY, a.k.a. "Rex," once rode a fat pony named Tumbleweed from DC to Arkansas and still wonders what the heck he was doing. A carpenter, he writes plays and fiction and produces and writes short films. DEBI ORTON lives in upstate New York and is a technology manager for a small New York State agency. She has a background in technical writing, web site design and development, web site accessibility and employee relations research, among her many careers. Her work has been published in the online journals The Independent Mind and Bulk Head, and two of her stories will appear in the Autumn issue of Mindprints. Debi is active in both local and online writing groups ROGER PARIS has been a contributing editor for community-based organization and university newsletters. He is an active participant in writing groups both online and in the suburban Chicago area. He is a strong advocate of "The Arts" in all their incarnations. Roger holds degrees in Art, Art History and Photography. VANITHA SANKARAN is a scientist by training and a writer by desire, seeking epiphanies through the real and imagined. Her current work can be seen in Prose Ax, The Independent Mind, The Paumanok Review and The San Francisco Call. JONETTE STABBERT is an artist, designer and writer residing in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Well over 100 of her articles for the crafts market have been published in various countries, and she has written widely on travel, motivation, humor, books and other subjects both online and in print. While most her publishing credits are for non-fiction, her fiction is finally also gaining recognition. Jonette's work has appeared in print and online publications including The International Herald Tribune, Fodor's, Time Out, ExPats, Cloth Doll, Doll Castle News, Great American Crafts, The Writing Parent, All the Write Moves, and Amoret. She teaches creativity and writing workshops in the USA and Europe. BRIAN E. TURNER is a New Zealand playwright, novelist, actor and director. MICHELLE B. TURNER is a freelance writer from Pennsylvania, a retired nurse and travel enthusiast. Her work has appeared in Einkwell and Crazy Times. Michelle is a senior editor of A Peace of Life, The Journey to Heal the Human Spirit. The magazine focuses on survivors of abuse and trauma. Her column "Through Shelly’s Eyes" will deal with aspects of healing. She will also be managing a web site on travel in Sydney, Walkabout Sydney, which will feature articles and insight about the city from a "Yank’s" view. |
